How can I track status of a GST payment after logging to the GST Portal?

Through Challan history, you can find out how far along a GST payment is. You can only see your challan history after logging in to the GST Portal. To track status of a GST payment after logging to the GST Portal, perform the following steps:

1. Access the https://www.gst.gov.in/ URL. The GST Home page is displayed. Login to the GST Portal with valid credentials. Click the Services > Payments > Challan History option.

2. The list of Challans with the payment status is displayed.

Note:

  • By default, the 10 most recent Challans are shown in chronological order.
  • You can click DOWNLOAD AS CSV to get the information in a.csv file.

2.1. If you want to know when the challan was paid, use the calendar to choose a date range for the From and To fields.

2.2. If you want to track the payment of the challan using the CPIN, choose “Search by CPIN.”

3. Click the CPIN (Common Portal Identification Number) link. The payment receipt, also called a Challan, is shown.

Note:

  • The payment receipt is only shown for Challans that have been paid.
  • You can also click the DOWNLOAD button to save a copy of the receipt.
  • If the date on the Challan that says “Expiration Date” has passed, the Challan is now a “Expired Challan.” Any payment made with a Challan that has passed its due date is not a valid payment. If a payment is made after the Challan’s expiration date and the Bank accepts the payment, the GST Portal will not update the payment status.
